How I Became a House Sitter
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF
Animals have always had a special place in my heart. Growing up on a farm in south-east Queensland, I was always around pets and livestock.
I was first asked by a colleague/ close friend to house and pet sit in 2009, that's how it all started!
Working in events until 2016, I returned to full-time study as a mature age student. I decided to make a go of house sitting full time with my adorable sidekick at the time, Coco (pictured). I have been house sitting and travelling since.
Early 2018 I welcomed Rocco into my nomad life, taking him straight into a 6-week sit (pictured homepage). He learnt his social skills very quickly and I put a lot of effort into his training, ensuring he knows how to be a polite house guest! He no longer joins me on most housesits as he is more content at home in once place, but is often a welcome buddy to our adopted fur-friends!
We am incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy their pets and homes so they can relax and enjoy their time away.
Having nearly cut some of my own travel plans short due to missing my own fur-baby, I know exactly how you feel leaving them!
We hope to get the chance to meet you and your pack soon!
